The beaches and seaside attractions of the Suffolk coast are only a few minute’s drive away so finding things to do will not be difficult – enough time to do it all might be! Southwold has lovely golden sands, a blue flag beach and a wonderful pier complete with old fashioned amusements and traditional arcade games. Why not take a boat trip while you’re there – amongst the many options you can choose from are thrilling high speed sea trips or a more leisurely river cruises if you prefer the quieter life.
Lowestoft offers other alternatives apart from its lovely beach and seaside attractions, the Transport Museum just a couple of miles outside the town is a step back in time. Take the opportunity to travel on the buses and trams of your childhood or your parents if you’re not old enough. Living history can be experienced first hand in the streets that have been recreated to form scenes from times gone by.
