The children have their own club for ages 5-11 and 12-16+ with organised activities and games, a great way to make new friends. Takeaway meals are available or the park has it’s own shop for all your self catering needs. Sandylands is a great base to tour the surrounding area with many great days out, attractions and activities close by. Sail to the islands for a day – Arran is just across the Firth of Clyde and you can cruise across the water from Saltcoats in the safe hands of Caledonian McBrayne and enjoy the delights of the beautiful Island of Arran. The Ayrshire coast is home to the famous golf courses at Turnberry and Troon as well as many other good lesser known courses such as Brunston and Girvan – y ou may find those are in a different price bracket. Less than half an hour takes you into the city of Glasgow, shops galore, restaurants, pubs and a a good selection of museums and galleries all well worth a visit and unbelievably admission free! |
