The site has it’s own covered heated swimming pool, gym and fishing plus a wide range of activities can be enjoyed close to Penvale Lake, including white-water rafting, canoeing, fishing, climbing and nature walks. For walkers and cyclists a short distance away is Coed Llandegla Forest, offering mountain bike trails suitable for all the family and a choice of picturesque walking trails. Bikes are available to hire all year round – much more convenient than transporting your own from home. After the hard work and exercise, all important refreshments are available at the café located in the visitors centre. The town of Llangollen is within easy walking distance of Penvale Lake and as well as shops, cafes, bars and restaurants the Royal International Pavillion houses, theatre with regular shows including dance, opera, world music and exhibitions.
