Lochside Log Cabins in Scottish Highlands – Delny Lodges Ross-shire

Delny Highland Lodges occupy a beautiful country location easily located from the A9 main route through the Highlands of Scotland and only 26 miles north of the city of Inverness. Delny offers guests a warm welcome to their family run site and offers lodge accommodation sleeping 4-7 people all furnished and equipped to a high standard with everything you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. The park has it’s own private fishing on Loch Katrina just a few minutes walk from the lodges, for which a small weekly fee is payable and includes free use of rowing boats. Meals and takeaways are available from the park’s own pub – The Old Dutch Barn- as well as a fine selection of the local brew (whisky), so you don’t have to cook, nor do you have to drive to the pub. A great place to meet up with friends and neighbours and discuss the size of todays ‘catch’. The park has it’s own pony trekking centre – tour the area on horseback – it makes a change from walking and your feet won’t be sore, but no guarantee that you won’t have other sore bits! Children will enjoy the freedom of the park with it’s play area and burn (stream) – a great fun combination, children and water.

Touring the surrounding area is a great pleasure, with ever changing scenery all around you, hills, lochs, mountains, glens and picturesque towns and villages to explore. If you’d like to see how the local brew is made and enjoy a tour and a wee dram Dalmore Distillery, Alness is less than 10 minutes drive and offers free tours. Golfers have a choice of at least 3 wonderful courses within half an hours drive at Tain, Golspie and Dornoch.
