Guests at Bay Retreat are welcome to use the tennis court, bar and restaurant at St. Merryn Village which is about a mile and a half away.

Bay Retreat offers the perfect relaxing base to explore Cornwall and Devon and enjoy the attractions and activities in the surrounding area. The closest village of Padstow, a quaint Cornish fishing village is a favourite with visitors. It’s home to celebrity chef Rick Stein who has a number of restaurants there – attractions in their own right. The famous cycle path ‘The Camel Trail’ runs into Padstow, one of the most successful popular walking, cycling and riding routes in the UK, leading through spectacularly beautiful Cornish countryside along a disused railway line linking Padstow, Wadebridge and Bodmin. Great for family trips as the route is largely level, there is little traffic and there are bicycle hire shops at both Wadebridge and Padstow.
