A choice of caravan or lodge accommodation sleeps 4-8 people and selected lodges have individual features such as their own private outdoor hot tubs, ensuite bedrooms and dishwasher. The lodges and caravans are all equipped to a high standard, and tastefully furnished to make your stay at River Valley comfortable and enjoyable and the site has earned a well deserved 5 star VisitBritain and David Bellamy Silver Conservation award. The location of River Valley Country Park makes it a great base to tour Cornwall and the south coast of England, where there are many great days out, attractions and activities close at hand. There is a good variety of museums and galleries in the area and the Geevor Tin Mine, is only a short drive away and is the largest preserved mining site in the UK. Geevor was, until 1900, a working tin mine but is now a museum with many surface buildings, it offers guided underground tours through 18th and 19th century workings. Also close at hand is Porthcurno Telegraph Museum, Porthcurno housing a collection from the 1830s onwards of the telegraph company records from England and around the world. The museum is located in World War II tunnels built to guard against enemy bombs and houses an incredible array of working equipment from the war years. Cyclists and walkers have a great choice of dedicated routes in the area covering varying distances and for a variety of abilities. Many of the routes are traffic free and give cyclists and walkers an opportunity to see the wildlife and admire the scenery at a more relaxed pace.
