Music and Wales go hand in hand, so it’s no surprise that amongst the many events and festivals held throughout the year that music features strongly. The North Wales Bluegrass Festival takes place late June/early July and features bands from various countries of the world with 4 days of concerts, music and dance workshops with tuition and demonstrations. The last week in July is a Classical Music Festival featuring prominent musicians from Wales and further afield, offering a full range of orchestral, choral, vocal and instrumental experiences. Centred round St Mary and All Saints churches, this much loved annual event features lunchtime and evening concerts.

Hop aboard a wildlife and sightseeing cruise. Relax and enjoy a cruise up the river Conwy to the Conwy Valley or out on to the estuary for wonderful views of Anglesey, Puffin Island and the mainland coast and enjoy a wealth of bird and marine life. Visit The Valley Maze and woodland walk, the world’s largest garden maze in a lovely country setting with many hidden surprises including 200 roses, butterfly garden, tropical garden and zen garden.

Colwyn Bay and Rhos-on-Sea’s beaches are great for swimming, watersports and fishing, with cycling and walking along the coastal tracks. Head to Betws-y-Coed for an exciting range of outdoor pursuits – the nearby Swallow Falls are one of the most beautiful spots in Wales. Make time for a trip to the charming resort of Llandudno, worth visiting just for its Victorian Pier, and be sure to take a cable tramcar ride to the summit of Great Orme.
